My trip through reading

It all began when I was a little kid. My fascination with traveling and of other foreign exciting looking countries. Books had it all for me. Descriptions, facts, pictures, and stories of all the places I wanted to visit and see. Reading books gave me a glimpse of a world that I wanted to be a part of. A world of new and exciting things and adventures that was different from my normal and regular life. I was able to look and read and picture traveling and seeing all these exciting places and I would get excited just thinking about it. Then one summer my dreams from reading came true. I went to Italy and suddenly everything I read about I could see firsthand. All the places and activities I read about I was able to see and do and everything I imagined because of reading became a reality for me. I was able to visit Rome and Venice and Florence. As well as going to Verona, where the Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet was set. And I also went to Pisa and saw the infamous Leaning Tower of Pisa. All of the people and places I visited and saw were everything that I had been reading about and more and it was reading that was first in transporting me to these new places.
